SINGAPORE POLLUTANT STANDARDS INDEX
Singapore National Environment Agency official website reported Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) decrease. The PSI shows decrease in four regions below than 100 meaning that air quality is in moderate level. Further, it then recommends to Singaporean to minimize prolonged or strenuous outdoor physical exertion because of the impact on health, particularly for elderly, pregnant women and children. Specifically for persons with chronic lung disease, heart disease or stroke. The official site was also noted that the improvement of air quality is due to a change of the low level wind over Singapore, from southwesterly to Southerly since last night.
The wall street journal online was also reported that hazy conditions in Singapore on June 20 was increase incrementally at noon but slightly low at evening. It indicated that the low air pressure maintained the conditions as regional wind went to the South-China Seas.
